Hello. Apartment house. I live in it for 3 years, this has not happened before. It has been going on for 2 days. When recording on a microphone, I don’t hear what I’m recording, instead there is a strong hum. There are 2 computers, a laptop and 2 microphones, I checked in a different combination - the result is the same, so the problem is definitely not in them. Checked on all outlets. When I record on a laptop disconnected from the network, everything is fine. As soon as I connect it to the mains - a buzz instead of recording. I did not connect new electrical appliances.

If this started recently - perhaps one of the neighbors began to “spoil” the power supply network with harmonics, the source of strong interference can be powerful equipment with switching power supplies, commutator motors, etc. You can try to power the equipment through a ferroresonant stabilizer (there are many Soviet copies on flea markets), it can smooth out noise and ripple. You can also build an EMR filter by cutting out the finished one from a power supply, or by picking a common-mode choke and capacitors. You can also try to buy the simplest usb sound card. And another option is to untie the device from the network with a transformer with K transformation 1. Well, the last option is galvanic isolation for a microphone, for example Audac TR2070.
