How to install an outlet block in the wall - instructions from A to Z
What could be the nuance
Today, the walls in the house can be concrete, wood, brick or plasterboard. Because of this, the installation technology may have its own peculiarities - you will shingle the roofing felts in a prefabricated house, just install the roofing felts on the surface of the consignment note (external) for outlets. Another nuance is that now we are only considering the installation and connection technology of the outlet block. Today, there is still a combined option: a power outlet + switch, but we will talk about installing such a combination separately.
Installation instructions

Step 1 - Preparatory work
First you need to decide where you want to put the outlet group in the room. If this is a kitchen, then it is better to place a block of sockets above the countertop, so that when the multicooker, microwave and other kitchen appliances are connected, the cord length is enough. In the living room or hall, it is best to install the product behind the TV so that the large screen can hide all the cords. If you decide to put a block of two or three outlets in the bathroom, take into account the important rule - the distance from the water should be at least 0.6 meters and at the same time the housing of the electrical points must be waterproof. By the way, for the kitchen there is an original version of the outlet block - retractable. The mortise body in this case is hidden in the countertop and opens with a slight press. It is very convenient and also safe, therefore, if desired, we recommend installing just such a model of products.
Also at this stage you should prepare a tool for strobing walls for wiring and sockets. If the wall is concrete or brick, use a hammer drill with a special crown.For drywall also has its own nozzle for gating. In addition, prepare the construction level, marker and tape measure.
Step 2 - Wall Marking
In fact, a very important stage on which the correctness of further installation and connection will depend. You need to make markings on the surface for the installation of sockets based on how many electrical outlets will be in the unit. The first and very important rule - the distance between the centers of the sockets should be strictly 72 mm. If you make a mistake, when installing the decorative cover, it may not fall into place. In addition, make sure that all round strobes are placed in the same horizontal or vertical plane. To do this, we recommend using the building level.
When the walls are marked, you can proceed to the gating.
Step 3 - Create the Strob
At this point, you should make footprints for the embedded socket outlets. There is nothing complicated, the main thing is to have a hammer with a suitable nozzle at hand. If you decide to install the outlet block in a concrete or brick wall, first grind the circles with a crown, and then knock out the entire core with a chisel and hammer. If the walls in your apartment are sewn with sheets of gypsum plasterboard, it’s even easier - with the help of a puncher and a crown, you cut round strobes using drywall according to the marking.
Step 4 - Attaching the Sockets
The next thing you need to do is install a block of sockets. To date, there are special plastic glasses that can be interconnected. It’s not difficult to connect the rosette even to a novice electrician.
In brick and concrete walls, you yourself need to coat the glasses with gypsum mortar. In drywall, everything is simpler - the sockets are pressed to the sheet with special paws on the sides. Step 5 - Connecting Electrics
When the mortar hardens (this applies to walls made of concrete and brick), you can proceed to connect the internal block of outlets to the 220V network with your own hands. It is allowed to connect several Euro sockets with a loop from one input cable if you do not connect very powerful household appliances, for example, an electric stove.
So, for starters, turn off the electricity on the apartment panel, and then insert the input wires from the junction box into the first socket: phase, zero and ground. After that, make jumpers to connect the remaining sockets in the unit. Connecting a unit of 3 or 4 outlets must be done according to this scheme:
After you connect all the cores to the corresponding terminals, you can independently fix the Euro socket housings in the sockets and install a decorative cover.
That's the whole technology of installing and connecting the wall outlet block. As you can see, all stages of electrical work are not very complicated, so anyone can install a socket panel. Looping is dangerous in principle.
The clamping force on the socket terminals will inevitably weaken, usually no one pulls them up (in a good way, once a couple of years you need to tighten the terminals on all sockets and automatic machines in the apartment).
In the case of a loop, there will be strong heating at the junction of the wires, which can lead to a fire.
Therefore, a reliable option is a distribution box near each group of outlets, from which separate wires go to each outlet.
And yes, PE prohibits loopback of the PUE.
