You probably mean the oil gauge. The transparent bulb of the pointer must have the minimum and maximum oil level marks. The pointer float during operation of the transformer must be between these marks. At high temperatures in summer, the float should not rise above the maximum level, and in winter during the period of the lowest temperatures, the float should not fall below the minimum level.
