Broken spring or shock absorber. The tank with a drum hangs on springs, and from the bottom it is mounted on shock absorbers. But if the shock absorber fails, then you will have to change both at once. If you change only one that is directly out of order, the load will be distributed unevenly and the one that was whole will quickly become worthless.
Counterweight. An artificial load is attached to the tank of the washing machine - a counterweight. It serves to prevent the laundry tub from swaying during washing and spinning. Over time, the hardware may become loose. Then, having disassembled the machine, you just need to "tighten" the bolts. And if the counterweight is broken, then you have to buy a new one. Such a breakdown is rare.

During washing, the drum knocks on the washing machine for the following reasons:

Small parts that could come off clothes or fall out of pockets (bones from a bra, buttons, coins, etc.) could get into the drum. During washing, they hang between the tank and the drum, knock on them. Details need to be removed. To do this, removing the cover of the machine, it is necessary to loosen the fasteners or completely remove the heater. Through the hole formed and you can get an interfering object;
Bearing wear.You can verify this by pressing the drum with your palm, rotate it in different directions. If the rotation of the drum is intermittent, with a creak, it means that the bearings "flew" exactly. It is better to entrust them to a specialist. Failed pulley. It so happens that due to prolonged use of the technique, the tightening of screws or nuts is weakened. The problem element must be detected, tightened and filled with sealant for a greater effect.

The reason that the washing machine knocks during washing may also be a line filter, which is usually attached to the back wall, but can be unscrewed during operation. Loosely attached, it will hit the hull or tank. Therefore, a knock will be heard. The filter must be well fixed.

Sometimes the machine knocks when collecting water, most likely the reason is that the water supply filter is clogged. It happens that the technique makes a noise when it draws water, due to the strong pressure in the water supply.

This means that it is unlikely to disassemble it and replace the part (bearings). You need to either completely change to the whole with all the internal filling, or buy a new washing machine.
