Why does the chandelier on the ceiling not work and the wires are melted?
Hello, there was a problem in the operation of the chandelier on the G9 lamps. At first, the chandelier turned on and off, then completely stopped turning on. Found the following picture, attached to the photo. What kind of white box I can’t find on the Internet by marking. The wires from the wiring are brought into it, the outgoing wire is also melted, the machines did not work. Thanks in advance!
Apparently - in this box there is a terminal block. It says 2x1.5 squared. Judging by the fact that the insulation has melted and the dot in the box - in this place the contact has deteriorated and warmed up. Cut the box, bite off the wires (do not bite strongly from the side of the ceiling - then it will be uncomfortable). Wear heat shrink (most convenient) or insulation on the fused core. And connect the wires with VAGO clamps or screw terminals. If soft wires with multi-wire cores are used - screw terminal blocks cannot be used, if you still want them - NSHVI tips must be put on the ends of the wires, you can crimp them with at least pliers.
