Edward asks:
In a country house, I increase power from 15 to 30 kW. At the request of the power grid company, in the pipe rack outside the site, it is necessary to change the input machines from 25A to 50A.
Tell me what input RCD must now be put in the shield in the house, instead of standing earlier at 25A 30mA?
An UZO at 25A 30mA is also installed on sockets in the house. Can it be left or changed too? If you change, then at what value?
Thank!
The answer to the question:
On sockets, why change? If it is on the input of an RCD, then it follows logically, since there was an automatic machine at 25A and an RCD at 25A, then now the automatic machine 50A and RCD must be at least 50A. Now about the leakage current (mA). If there were no false positives and non-selective operation - set as it was with a leakage current of 30 mA, if there were problems with this - then 50-100 mA.
The main thing is that it should be a branded (non-burning) RCD from a normal brand (ABB, Schneider and the like)
