How to carefully remove the spotlight?
Very often, when removing a spotlight from a strobe in a drywall, three troubles can arise (not all at once):
- The spring latch nails the fingers immediately after it leaves the seat.
- The strobe contours are destroyed due to spring pressure during dismantling.
- When the contacts of a person are disconnected, an electric current is struck.
Both the one and the other option are very disappointing, especially since it can be easily avoided.
Proper dismantling
In order to properly remove a spotlight from a suspended ceiling, you need to perform a few simple steps:
- Disable circuit breakerinstalled on the lighting group of the room.
- Disconnect (or unscrew) the bulb from the body of the product.
- Using a straight screwdriver (or knife), pry the outer edge of the decorative rim (so that a small gap forms).
- Carefully insert another screwdriver (or knife) into the cross with a screwdriver.
- Evenly “pick out” the casing from the seat until a gap is formed that is sufficient for the fingers to crawl.
- Press the latches to the body and carefully remove the product from the strobes (as shown in the photo).
- Unscrew the screws from the terminal block to release the contacts (if provided by design).
That's all, 7 simple steps will allow you to quickly, and most importantly, safely remove the spotlight from the ceiling (from the plastic, by the way, too).
We draw your attention to the fact that in the case of a stretch ceiling, dismantling the product can be a little easier. It is necessary to gently press with your hands the ring that holds the body of the product, and then slowly pull out the lamp until access to the latch for fingers is formed. Press the latches and carefully try to remove the case. Use extreme caution, because if the latch opens, you can damage the film of the stretch ceiling.

It is strictly forbidden to perform dismantling, because you will damage the film, after which it will need to be glued and tinted:
Helpful advice
To make the removal process not difficult, during installation of the ceiling lamp, make the stroba a little larger than the diameter of the housing. In this case, the gap will hide behind a decorative panel with a light bulb, and the increased free space will make it easier to remove the spotlight.
