Is it possible to connect a mirror with lighting and heating to the wiring of the lamp?
Good afternoon. I want to buy a bathroom mirror with lighting and heating. The apartment has already been renovated and there is a lamp with a lamp in the bathroom on the wall. Is it possible to remove the wires from the lamp and connect a mirror to them?
- Connect directly to the lamp, then the backlight and mirror heating will only work when this lamp is on.
- If the distribution box of this lamp is not walled up and is in the same room - you can connect directly to the phase and zero, then you can turn on the mirror even if the lamp on the wall is turned off.
From a practical point of view, the first option suits you, because the backlight and mirror heating will turn on when you are in the bathroom, which means that the lighting in it is turned on. In addition, it is easier to do than to search for the necessary wires in the switchgear.
