How to connect the engine from a reel tape recorder to 220V?

Anatoly asks:
Hello, I’m not an electrician myself, but here is the problem on the engine written 220v 6w, do I directly connect it to 220? The engine from the old womanizer. Thank.
The answer to the question:
Hello! Well it’s written 220V. So it is designed for this voltage. Perhaps he needs a capacitor to start, depending on how many wires he has, maybe he has brushes in general. If there are three wires, then the starting winding connects a pair of microfarads and a resistor of about 100 Ohms through the capacitor, at least it was written on my motor nameplate from the bobbin.

If it has 4 contacts, then 2 of them are connected to the network, 2 are combined, and connected by a circuit from a capacitor and a resistor according to the following logic:

If you hold the shaft up, then 1 and 3 contacts are connected by a jumper, a resistor with a capacitor is connected between the second and third, and power is supplied to 2 and 4.

But the scheme may differ depending on the engine, see the scheme for the bobbin reel from which you removed it, or it will be given to you on the Internet by marking.
