What power supply is needed for a car amplifier to operate on a 220V network?
Is it possible to fully replace a car battery with a power supply? We have a powerful sound amplifier that is designed for a 12V 45Ah car battery. We want to put it at home, not depend on the battery, is it possible to replace it fully with a power supply that will be powered by a 220v outlet? Tell me what parameter of the power supply unit, and can this be done at all? We don’t understand anything in electrics. Thank!
100/12 = 8.3A
Then the power supply should have the following characteristics:
- Output voltage - 12V
- The output current is not less than 8.3A, better more, well, at least 10A.
Such power supplies are often sold under the name "power supply for LED strip", they come in different capacities, the larger the supply you take, the more likely that there will be no drawdowns and problems at maximum power. In general, if you use the amplifier at low volume, then the power (current) of the power supply can be much less.
