What to do if I shorted the wires from the car battery?

I closed 2 power wires inattentively with the car battery, do I need to change the wires, or can I somehow make them? Tell me please! The closure was in the trunk.

    Hello! You can change, but you can do it. If you find where the wire breakage occurred due to increased current, and after eliminating it, if you are sure that there is no damage to the conductors or their insulation anywhere in the work.
    A few tips:
    1. Each electrical circuit of the car must be protected by a fuse, just to avoid cases like yours.
    2. Usually during short-circuit, the wires are fenced off from the terminals, on twists and other contact connections.
    3. It is better to replace the entire wire from the fuse box to the place where the short circuit occurred.
