5 best ways to seal an opening circuit breaker
Using stickers
Sealing a circuit breaker with a seal sticker is one of the most affordable, quick and easy options. Judge for yourself, such a sticker consists of two layers, one of which is an adhesive base, and the second is actually a seal. At any attempt of illegal removal, the inscription "opened" will appear.
Plastic box
Such a box is made of self-extinguishing polymer and will allow not only sealing the introductory machine, but also protect it from theft of electricity, as well as from unauthorized access to the device terminals. It is made in the form of a box and is intended for a separate installation from the metering device. It also has stamped holes for connecting wires, which are very easy to break out in a convenient place for installation.
It is a two-piece drop-down box. In addition to installing separately from the meter outside the modular cabinet, the boxes can also be designed for installation inside it on DIN rail.
Consider the box for a separate installation. Inside, it is equipped with a DIN rail, on which the introductory machine is mounted. To seal it, it is necessary to fix the reciprocal part of the box from above, after which seals are inserted into the holes.
The box for indoor installation is as follows:
It also has two parts. The sealing principle is exactly the same as in the previous case. There is no fundamental difference in the two versions, but it is still better to position the introductory machine inside the shield next to the meter. Such an installation will be more appropriate and convenient.
Plastic plugs
The next way to seal the opening circuit breaker is through plastic plugs. They are the newest method and provide, in addition to protection against theft, also protection against electric shock. They are made of special non-combustible plastic and structurally consist of two parts, combining which forms a plug. In the photo below you can see how such a seal looks:
As you can see, it is in a disassembled state. Let's look at how you can seal an introductory machine using it in a little more detail. The stub consists of two halves. First you need to insert the first part of the plug (in the photo it is lower) into a special place in the machine. Then the second half is installed in it, which, as it were, bursts the plug inside the machine, thus ensuring its reliable fastening in the case.
Next, a seal is installed in the plug hole. Moreover, sealing can be performed not only with the help of a traditional wire and a compressible seal. You can also use a plastic disposable seal.
It should be noted that not all machines will be able to seal in this way. The fact is that previously released models did not yet have special slots for fixing the plugs. Be careful when choosing this method and pay attention to the already installed or newly purchased circuit breaker.
Shield Sealing
Using this method allows you to seal the opening machine in the shortest possible time. All switching devices, as well as the meter, are closed with one common shield, which is already directly sealed.
It would seem that all is well, easily and fairly quickly, you can seal the AB. However, imagine a situation where you need to quickly replace one unit, not necessarily the machine itself. That's right, to get to it you have to break the seal of the entire shield. Is this legal? Obviously not. You need to call a representative of Energosbyt to unseal the entire cabinet, and this entails the loss of time and money.
The use of SchUR (shield accounting and distribution)
Unlike the general shield, SchUR allows for selective sealing. That is, if it is necessary to seal precisely the introductory machine, as in our case, then the desired SchUR with the appropriate cutouts in the shield for the machine is selected. Thus, we get an obvious advantage over the common shield.
