Connecting a twin outlet and switch after repair
Hello. Today, the outlet was smoking, I turned off the electricity, opened the outlet, it is on the same socket with the switch. and adjacent to a power outlet in another room. Smoked insulation. We have been at home since 1982. Well, in general, I cleaned the wire and shook it with electrical tape. Attached wires as they were. That is, two wires were screwed to one terminal and the other two I cleaned and attached as it was to the other terminal. But in the middle of some kind of wiring comes from the switch, I did not understand where to plug it into the jumper. The wires are not colored, just three wires, one to the switch and two with two contacts (4 in total) to the two terminals of the socket. Tell me. where this posting - to plug a jumper? Please help, otherwise we have an electrician, well, very expensive. Thank!
Hello! And what after what you made the light does not work apparently? If I understood correctly, then the wiring from the switch went into phase from the outlet, most likely. There and connect it. In theory, this was the case (I repeat, if I understood your story correctly): Phase and zero come to this place and connect to the outlet. The phase from the outlet went to the switch with a jumper, and from the switch 1 lived to the lamp.
