What extra wire did you bite off? You have killed zero, you use the earth instead of zero? And the RCD to which wires is connected? Have you disabled zero? If the broken portion of the wire is still connected to the RCD - it can work if zero gives a leak to the ground through the walls. Does the RCD work just like that or when you turn on this sconce?
