Why does the electric meter click when the load is connected to the outlet through the adapter?
Hello. I am a person who is far from wiring questions and meters. Therefore, I can ask a stupid question, but it is very important for me. Yesterday I turned on the electric kettle in the adapter, which is included in another adapter, and a red light with the signature “3200 something there” began to flash on the electric meter. At the same time, the counter began to click once every 5-7 seconds. I turned on the kettle directly to the outlet and everything became normal - the light does not light, the counter does not click. Today I turned on the washing machine - the light began to flash again, and click the counter. But not for the entire washing period, but for a while. Maybe you know what it could be? Counter - NEVA 103 1SO.
Hello! An interesting situation. It seems as if you are overloading the meter, but there should not be an overload at this load. Have you started this long ago? Or did it start after installing the counter? Was the washing machine stuck directly into the outlet or through adapters? The fact is that such powerful devices are highly not recommended to be included in this way. The counter may burst due to the fact that some adapter is leaking or slightly short. In general, if nothing plugs when plugged in, then do not use adapters.
By the way, the light should flash, but there should be no clicks.
