Why does the luminaire power supply heat up when a warm floor is used?
Good afternoon friends! There is such a question, during the repair in the apartment, the electrical wiring was done. An automatic machine was installed as a protective device. One of its poles controls the operation of outlets. A warm floor and one lamp were connected to it. So, when the underfloor heating is working, the power supply unit of the lamp heats up very much, provided that it is not turned on (a lamp with an LED strip). What will happen if you plug in, for example, an oven and a washing machine? Even worse? (How can I solve this problem? Thank you all in advance!
Hello! The power supply unit is a separate consumer of electricity, it works individually and other electrical appliances included in this wiring section cannot affect its operation. Probably just a coincidence that when you turn on the warm floor, the power supply heats up. If the power supply is working, then if there is no load on it (when the lamp with the LED strip is off), it should not get very hot. Invite a specialist to check the wiring, lamp circuits, whether everything is connected correctly and whether the power supply really has no load when the lamp is turned off.
