Phase and zero designation with letters A and B on the Thermex boiler
I bought a new Thermex boiler. And on his TEN I found new lettering for phase and zero: not L and N, as usual, but A and B. What do they mean? If I understand correctly, A is a phase, and B is zero? Have you encountered this?
Hello! Personally, I did not come across such an alphabetic designation of phase and zero, but I heard more than once. Ideally, you need to study the instructions for your boiler, the connection section. If there is no instruction, try searching the Internet. In general, yes, there are cases when the phase is denoted by the letter A, and zero by the letter B, but it is better to play it safe. Also, you should know - TEN does not care which side it has the phase on, and for mechanical thermostats it also does not matter.
Thanks for the answer. I will add that there is no such detail in the instructions, I looked a bit on the Internet, but nothing of the kind is striking. In addition, the colors of the wires to terminal A are brown, and to B, blue. In my opinion, everything is clear.
Yes, color coding confirms everything.
