Can I replace finger batteries with a phone charger?
Electric boiler of the KOSPEL company. The temperature regulator "Auraton 2005" is connected to it, which operates on two ordinary finger batteries. In the characteristics of the thermostat it says "Maximum load current 5A" (with inductive load 3A). I want to change this thermostat to a thermostat with WI-FI but the new one works from 220v and when turned on it also gives out 220v, I want to take an adapter for charging, for example, a phone that shows the characteristics of the load current from 3A to 5A and turn on the boiler through it. QUESTION: a temperature regulator on two finger batteries of 1.5v each, can charging be noticed, for example, from a phone that shows the characteristics of a load current of 3A.
Firstly, the voltage at the output of the charger for the phone is 5 V, in fact it can be more. Secondly, usually when charging a smartphone or tablet at the load current indicated on the charger, the charger becomes very hot during charging. But charging takes about two hours, and you want to turn on the charger for continuous operation. In this mode, charging will quickly fail. You better find a suitable power supply unit.
