Pushbutton keys in different positions

Hello! At home by the bed are two switches. Two keyboard switches. The internal key at each switch includes a bedside sconce for its part, the external keys are walk-through, turn on the light above the bed. When the upper light is off, the external keys are for some reason in a different position. Is this normal or not?
