How to control a 220-12V transformer from an LED strip?
Good afternoon. There was a difficulty in how to perform lighting with LED strips and lamps so that the 220-12V transformer only works when the light is on. Case one - 1 color LED strip. The second case is the RGB LED strip (the caveat is that there is precisely dimming and color management on the controller after the transformer). Accordingly, how to make the transformer turn on when the controller is turned on from the remote control or from a 12M dimmer, and does not work when the load is off.
Hello! Do you really feed the tape from the transformer? Or do you call the power supply with such a word? What you wrote does not match in meaning. The controller works from this very power supply. Those. he is part of his load. If the power off on the 220V side can still be realized while there is power on the load, then switching it on again remotely will not work - the power has already turned off. Unless it’s powered by batteries, but I don’t remember the ready-made solutions.
However, there are two options.
Solution 1: Just put a regular switch BEFORE your power supply.
If you want to turn off the power supply to the PSU with the remote control, then solution 2: buy a radio relay and tape it to the controller’s tape. Then, if you need to turn off the power supply, we press the button on the remote control from the relay. If you need to turn on bp - repeat the procedure.
