How to connect a temperature regulator to powerful TENs?
Hello . I need to control the heating of a 3-kW TEN with the help of a “people's” temperature regulator W1209 12v. What devices can I use to make friends with? A minimal option is desirable, excluding security systems.
Even without opening the circuit in the photo, you can see that there is a relay at the output, which is able to control a load of 5A with a voltage of up to 250V. This is not enough. Buy a relay or contactor with a current of more than 15A. The relay on the board will break the phase that connects to the contactor coil.
For example, this way: connect the incoming phase to K0, and the outgoing phase to K1. On the power contacts of the contactor we connect the phase and zero (or only phase) that go to the heater. Or you can strengthen the tracks and re-solder the relay to "more powerful"
