How to connect the backlight in the closet through the controller?

I want to connect the lighting in the closet through the controller to the lighting control (so that the switch and the wire are not visible). I understand correctly that I first connect a transformer to the network (there will be 2 lamps for 12 W), and only then the controller block, which makes it possible to distribute the inclusion of light bulbs separately?

    If this controller is designed for low voltage, then yes, you connect it to the secondary winding of a step-down transformer.
