How to connect two chandeliers to a double switch
Hello! We bought a new house. Our room is divided into two zones (dining room and hall). A chandelier was already hanging in the dining room, connected to one key of the two-key switch, wires leading to the hall were connected to the second key (there are no chandeliers in the hall, only wires hang from the ceiling). We hung the chandelier into the hall, connected it. The problem is that when you press the first key of the switch, both chandeliers (dining room and hall) light up, and when you press the second key (when the first one is turned off), nothing is lit. When the first switch key is on (both lamps are on), pressing the second key does not happen. Tell me, please, what could be the problem: in the switch, or did we not connect the second chandelier correctly, and how then is it right? Thanks in advance for your reply!

If both chandeliers light up when you turn on one key, then both of these chandeliers are connected to this key. If nothing happens when you click on the second, it means that none of the chandeliers are connected to this key. The two-key switch is connected as follows. A phase wire from the wiring is suitable for it and two wires (phases) go to each lamp: from one key goes one conductor to one lamp, from the other key - the second conductor to the second lamp. That is, only three wires are connected to the switch. A zero conductor fits each lamp directly from the wiring, bypassing the switch.
