What is the difference between ABB circuit breakers with different rated currents?
Hello! Please tell us how the circuit breakers differ, in one series, say the ABB brand, but with different Amperes? As far as I understand, there are no electronics in the circuit breakers, they are intended only for the "mechanical" breaking of the circuit. An ABB circuit breaker at 25A costs an average of 550r, and a 40A circuit breaker costs 850r. What is the difference between it, except for the price 🙂
Hello! They differ in switching ability and contacts. The larger the current, the larger the contact area of the contacts should be. Small contacts will not be able to withstand high currents for a long time, much less turn them off and on.
