Is it safe to glue LED strip onto metal shelves?

5050 LED strip for plants, 5 meters, with silicone protection. Is it possible to stick it to the metal shelf of the rack or insulation is needed. If so, which one?

    Yes, you can glue the LED strip directly onto a metal surface. So it is recommended - to remove heat. But in any case, look at the design of your tape. On the inner side, which is glued, there should not be open metal conductive elements.
